You may experience mild bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness immediately after treatment. This typically settles within a few days.

Results are visible immediately, with final results settling over 1 to 2 weeks as any swelling reduces. You may experience swelling, redness or mild bruising, which is completely normal. Swelling can temporarily affect the final appearance, and your true result is typically seen once everything has settled, usually around 2 weeks post-treatment.

Results typically last between 9 to 12 months depending on the area treated and individual factors.

This is discussed during your consultation, as it depends on your natural anatomy and the result you would like to achieve. Most facial fillers need 2.2ml to start with and can be built on overtime.

For lips, most first-time clients typically require 1ml to create balanced, noticeable enhancement. 0.5ml is usually more suitable for a subtle top-up rather than an initial treatment.

Longevity varies between individuals, as dermal filler is naturally metabolised by the body over time. Results often last longer with repeat treatments, but this differs from person to person depending on lifestyle, metabolism and treatment area. Most dermal fillers last 9-12 months, if not longer.

Swelling and bruising can vary from person to person. Some clients experience very little, while others may notice mild swelling or bruising for a few days.

To help reduce the likelihood, we advise taking arnica tablets and an antihistamine in the days leading up to your appointment (unless medically contraindicated). Full aftercare guidance will always be provided.

After your treatment, please follow the guidance below to support healing and achieve the best possible results.

• Drink 2–3 litres of water per day to support hydration and recovery.

• Avoid touching the treated area for at least 6 hours.

• Do not apply make-up or other products to the area for 6 hours.

• Avoid smoking or vaping for 6 hours.

• Avoid alcohol for 48 hours to help reduce the risk of bruising.

• Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive heat for 48 hours.

• Avoid direct sun exposure and heat treatments for 48 hours.

• Avoid facial treatments or procedures for 2 weeks.

• Avoid blood-thinning medication and anti-inflammatory drugs for 7 days (unless medically prescribed, please consult your GP if unsure).

• Do not massage the area. Any small lumps or unevenness should settle naturally within 1–2 weeks.

Mild swelling, tenderness or slight discolouration can be normal after treatment. However, if you experience intense pain, unusual swelling, or significant discolouration, please contact your technician for advice.
